One of the mechanisms to support demand for Russian-made household appliances may be subsidizing discounts for its sale, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said during a visit to an exhibition of industrial enterprises in Udmurtia on Thursday.
„It will be necessary to look at compensation for possible discounts for the purchase, so that there is some kind of guaranteed demand,” he said, addressing a representative of one of the Udmurt enterprises – JSC Concern Aksion.
„Talk to our large state corporations, we have wonderful mechanisms: there are opportunities and discounts to stimulate both pilot batches and industrial batches,” Mishutin cited an example of other mechanisms to support domestic producers.
Concern „Aksion” is engaged in the production of electric meat grinders, electric juicers, coffee grinders, blenders. Mishustin asked about the share of the concern in the Russian home appliances market and emphasized the importance of drawing up plans to increase the market share and capacity in order to predict guaranteed demand.
The issue of supporting domestic demand was also raised by the Prime Minister on Thursday in relation to socially significant goods, in particular goods for children.
