The dollar / ruble pair has the potential to reach the level of 65 rubles / $ 1 in the short term, Rosbank analysts believe.
„Despite the sharp increase in the volatility of the ruble exchange rate in recent days – the dollar-ruble correction against the minimum level of last week reached 5 rubles (an interval of 50-55 rubles / $ 1) – we see room for improving the short-term forecast to 65 rubles / $ 1 At the same time, we maintain the medium-term orientation of the exchange rate in the range of 70-80 rubles / $ 1 at the turn of 2022 – early 2023, paying tribute to the attempts of the government’s economic bloc to return the exchange rate to a more „fair” level,” the bank’s analysts believe.
