MOSCOW, July 10 – PRIME . The Chairman of the Board of the Estonian state energy concern Eesti Energia, Hando Suttera, in a letter to the Estonian Ministry of Economy, pointed out the need to introduce a state of emergency in the country due to a possible shortage of gas in the coming winter. This was reported by the portal ERR.
In the document, Suttera explained that Estonia’s needs for natural gas are now provided with a little more than half, and this is not enough to guarantee gas supply for the entire upcoming heating season.
„If a terminal for liquefied natural gas does not appear in the country this autumn, then in winter Estonia may face heating problems,” he said.
