Moscow. July 13. INTERFAX.RU – The United States and Israel are launching a new High-Level Strategic Dialogue on Technology and Response to Global Challenges. This is stated in a joint statement of the parties on the website of the White House.
Thus, US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid confirm their commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between the countries. The goal of the project is to create an American-Israeli technology partnership on important and new technologies and solutions to global problems.
Among the global challenges, the document lists such items as preparedness for a pandemic, climate change, the introduction of artificial intelligence and reliable technological ecosystems.
It is emphasized that such a dialogue „will also strengthen existing cooperation mechanisms.”
The statement clarifies that the meetings of the new dialogue will be held annually under the leadership of national security advisers. The first of them is scheduled for autumn 2022, during which the implementation of specific projects in various areas of cooperation will be discussed.
