The Kremlin considered it impossible to discuss the fate of the world economy at the G20 summit without the Russian Federation

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the situation around the format and level of Russia’s participation in the November G20 summit, said that it is impossible to discuss the economy within the framework of this association without Russia.

„As Mr. Widodo (President of Indonesia Joko Widodo – IF) just noted , after all, this is an economic format, with the main emphasis on the economy. It is impossible to talk about the main emphasis on the economy without Russia. At the G20, without Russia, it is impossible to say that It will probably be difficult with the world economy,” Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

Answering a question about the in-person or absentee format of Russia’s participation in the association summit, Peskov said: „The President will make a decision based on what we should do in the way that is more convenient and profitable for us.”

The G20 summit will be held on the Indonesian island of Bali on November 15-16.
